It was a pleasant surprise to hear Radio Enga, Papua new Guinea on 2410 kHz for the first time during a holiday/dxpedition at the South African coastal location of Cintsa (45 km from East London).
The 10 kw signal made it through during excellent reception conditions back on the 18th July 1991 via the FRG7 and 50 metre longwire antenna.
Station Technician Felix Tumun kindly verified my reception report with a friendly and detailed QSL letter.

Hi Colin
The new player widget I installed has a limited capacity for playing audio clips and only seems to appear up to approximately the middle of each month (it's there at the moment).
Alternatively, I have provided another link to the audio clip (below the player widget) at the bottom of the post.
Hope that helps.
Best Regards
Gary
Hello Gary & Colin.
Colin, I would greatly appreciate it if you could email me at gavin.buckle@yahoo.com. I recently read an article of yours "HISTORY OF SHORTWAVE IN SOUTH AFRICA" and would love to discuss it with you.
