WWVA Wheeling WV on 1170 kHz made it through to Pinelands on the 31st May 1977 via the Siera receiver and 20 metre longwire antenna. I was fortunate to receive a QSL card in response to my reception report.

The station id "A Country Radio Legend : WWVA Wheeling" was recorded at Fish Hoek via the FRG7 and modest 40 metre longwire antenna during early 1989.
